Welcome to the Haunted Halfsy, a high-energy race weekend packed with fast running, Halloween fun, and unforgettable community spirit. Featuring a brand-new USATF-certified course and events for all ages, Haunted Halfsy is designed to become Southeast Minnesota’s signature fall running event. Made possibly by Olmsted Medical Center.
LOCAL SUPPORTING LOCAL
Hosted by the local team behind the Med City Marathon, the Haunted Halfsy brings together runners, families, local nonprofits, and community partners for a weekend that celebrates movement, connection, and giving back. Proceeds and partnerships from the event will help raise awareness and support for local mental health resources.
Get ready for a scary good time!
Expect a FAST and fun course filled with Halloween-themed cheer zones, costume contests, music, DJs, and energetic water stops hosted by local nonprofits and sports teams. Our “REST-IN-PACE” pacing team will help runners chase goals while keeping the atmosphere lively from start to finish.
Whether you’re racing for a PR or simply soaking in the experience, this course is built for fun!
All runners will receive premium Haunted Halfsy swag, including a Haunted Halfsy crewneck sweater, custom finisher medal, canvas tote bag, neck buff, and our coveted ceramic finisher mug with lid and cork bottom.
Some seriously SWEET gear to celebrate your finish line victory in style!
We don’t skimp on the finish line. In fact, it’s one of the best parts of the Haunted Halfsy!
Cross the finish at RCTC to the cheers of your favorite ghouls and soak in all the festive fun waiting for you! Every finisher will receive a custom Haunted Halfsy hot drink mug, perfect for filling up with complimentary hot cocoa or apple cider, along with plenty of well-earned finish line snacks.
And the fun doesn’t end when the race is over. Stick around to explore local vendors, carve pumpkins with the kids, snap some festive photos, and enjoy a morning full of Halloween spirit. More spooky surprises are still to come!
Talking about mental health doesn’t have to be spooky….
The Haunted Halfsy is proud to support local organizations that work to provide resources for families struggling with mental health, and that help break the stigma around mental health. This impacts all of us, and it is very close to home for our MCM team.
Aidan’s Light is an incredible local Rochester resource, helping shine a light on mental health and support suicide prevention. A portion of each registration is donated to this cause. Learn more about Aidan’s Light here https://aidans-light.org/
